Locations for construction of Interchanges on Maharashtra Samruddhi Mahamarg have been finalised. The interchanges in Amravati and Washim Districts are to be constructed near Dhamangaon, Gaoner Talegaon, Karanja Lad, Selu Bajar/Vanoja, and Malegaon. Here is a summary.
For streamlining the traffic and countering any kind of congestion on the proposed Maharashtra Samruddhi Mahamarg, the locations for the Interchanges to be built have been finalised. Initially, MSRDC had announced the number of Interchanges to be built in each district. Accordingly, 5 Interchanges were proposed for Amravati and Washim districts. As a further step, specific locations have been chosen and finalised for Interchanges in Amravati and Washim districts. Details are as below:
- District: Amravati, Taluka: Dhamangaon Railway, Village: Dhamangaon
- District: Amravati, Taluka: Nandgaon Khandeshwar, Village: Gaoner Talegaon
- District: Washim, Taluka: Karanja, Village: Karanja Lad
- District: Washim, Taluka: Mangrul Peer, Village: Selu Bajar/Vanoja
- District: Washim, Taluka: Malegaon, Village: Malegaon
In this manner, the Interchanges will be built in Amravati and Washim Districts at Dhamangaon, Gaoner Talegaon, Karanja Lad, Selu Bajar/Vanoja, and Malegaon, thereby benefiting the proximal villages as well.
