‘Farm Pond To Ones Who Need’ – Solutions For Water Storage and Management ( Part 1 )

The Maharashtra Government has given a Green Signal to collate Water Storage and Management Solutions with the Developmental Phases and Plans of Maharashtra Samruddhi Mahamarg. This is a summary of ‘Farm-Ponds’ and the peripheral phases which are collectively a part of Water Storage and Management Solutions.

1. Making New Farm Ponds:
Water Storage and Management is a crucial process in construction of Maharashtra Samruddhi Mahamarg. Once the concerned land owner applies for the construction of a Samruddhi Farm Pond in his property, a Tri-Party Agreement shall be drawn and signed by – The Landowner, The Representatives of the Contractor, and the Taluka Officer for Agriculture for the digging and construction of Samruddhi Farm Pond. Details like – Dimensions of Farm Pond, Quantity of Usage of Accessory Minerals obtained while Digging, Markings to be made at the location, will be finalised before the contract is signed. The completion of the construction of the Farm Pond will be completed thereafter, provided the Technical Approval of the Estimation Document.

2. Ground Levelling:
Ground Levelling Process is a matter of great importance for Water Storage and Management. The levelling process of the mountainous regions of the land in the vicinity of Maharashtra Samruddhi Mahamarg shall be executed with the consent of the concerned landowner. The levelling process shall pave a way to make the state of the land from Non-Fertile to Fertile. The accessory minerals obtained from the process shall be used for the construction of Maharashtra Samruddhi Mahamarg. After the levelling process, the landowner shall have the permission to lay black soil on the land at the landowner’s own expense.

3. Making Non-Fertile Lands, Fertile:
The permission of the landowner shall be imperative to make the barren, non fertile land in the vicinity of Maharashtra Samruddhi Mahamarg, fertile. The accessory minerals obtained by digging the land to a depth of 1/2 to 1 meter, shall be used by the contractors for the construction of Maharashtra Samruddhi Mahamarg as per the request by the landowner and the actual requirement. After the extraction of the accessory minerals, the created holes shall be filled with the black soil in order to make the land near the Maharashtra Samruddhi Mahamarg, fertile. The contractor must obtain the permission of the landowner for this process.
