The new township development project, Krushi Samruddhi Kendra, is a task undertaken by the Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation (MSRDC)’s Agricultural Centre’s Development Authority. It is aimed at not just creating a new township but also developing those 10 districts and its 14 neighbouring districts of Maharashtra. This project is proposed along with Maharashtra Samrudhhi Mahamarg so that there is a planned and a systematic development, especially at the interchanges.
In this project, there would be 20 plus Krushi Samruddhi Kendras developed within a prominent location. Their location would be close to the intersection of the expressway, and national or state highways, with a minimum 30 KM distance between each other. An approximate of 1000 to 1200 acres of area would be compromised to develop an agro-based industrial, manufacturing and commercial hub along with a residential area equipped with the basic amenities. It would be developed as per the modern urban planning norms. Half of the land would be dedicated to the residential area, 15% to the commercial zone, 20% for internal roads, whereas 10% would be maintained as a green zone, and 5% would be for the public and the semi-public use
This development would trigger the regional specialities and unique characters which would enhance it culturally, redefining its identity. The living and working environment would be fashioned to meet the needs of the local population. Since there would be more opportunities for trade and investment, it would bring a push to the development also, letting people choose their own place to work, visit, learn, and live. Furthermore, there are opportunities like self employment and wage employment which would not only stop the forced immigration but create better scope for people in the surrounding areas as well.
This 10 year long project would not only develop and create highways and townships but this would result in a wider regional economical development of the towns and their surrounding areas. There would be a scope of self and wage employment opportunities. These towns would be connected with each other and with the expressways, channelized in a structured road networking area. Hence, even the surrounding towns would be developed.
Thus, Krushi Samruddhi Kendra is not only a new township development project accompaniment to the Maharashtra Samruddhi Mahamarg but it gives a positive light to a better future where internal and surrounding developments take place with time. It would require sincere efforts, patience, time, and cooperation from the primary asset, the land owners, the farmers
