Krushi Samruddhi Kendra

Lack of planning leads to haphazard development around the road network that becomes difficult to manage. In order to avoid this, Krushi Samruddhi Kendra, or new townships are proposed along the Nagpur - Mumbai Super Communication Expressway in order to ensure planned and systematic development, especially at the interchanges.

Twenty plus Krushi Samruddhi Kendra, spread across 10 districts, are proposed to be developed. These Kendra will be located at the intersection of the expressway and national or state highways, at an average distance of 30 km from each other. Each Kendra will have an area of approximately 1000 to 1200 acres [400 to 500 Ha (2 km x 2.5 km)] and will comprise an agro-based industrial, manufacturing and commercial hub along with a residential area equipped with basic amenities. The land use pattern in each Kendra will be as per modern urban planning norms. Half of the land will be dedicated to residential area, 15% will be dedicated to commercial zone and 20% for internal roads, whereas 10% will be maintained as a green zone and 5% for public and semi-public use.

Krishi samruddhi kendra investment

Each Kendra will be developed to complement the key characteristics of the area in a manner that will maintain and enhance the local identity of the region. It will thus have its own unique character and identity, defined by its natural setting and local culture. Choice of living and working environment will thus be fashioned to meet the needs of the local population.

Each new Krushi Samruddhi Kendra will create new opportunities for trade and investments within the region. This, in turn, will promote development and will open up avenues where people can choose to work, visit, learn and live. These will provide a multitude of opportunities for self and wage employment, thereby preventing forced migration. These employment opportunities created will not be restricted to the Krushi Samruddhi Kendra; people in the surrounding areas will also reap the benefits.

Thus, the Krushi Samruddhi Kendra will be developed and promoted as centers of wider regional economies involving surrounding towns and villages which will offer opportunities for self- employment and wage employment.

Krishi samruddhi opportunities

Local road network to and from each town will be upgraded.
The towns will be connected to each other and also to the expressway.
Access to the expressway from surrounding areas will be provided by building service roads and upgrading the arterial road network.
Development and progress will not be restricted only to the Kendra but will also be extended to the surrounding areas.

The benefits of this project will not only be limited to these ten districts but will also spread in the fourteen neighboring districts. Planned development will thus improve the quality of life by adding services, creating diverse employment opportunities and providing easy access to amenities.
